Nice people, Nice things is a Block of the week, designed by Helen Stubbings from Hugs’n'Kisses. It contains 54 stitcheries with a corresponding quote on the reverse of the card(so 108, really!). We will be launching it as a Block of the Month (yeah, I know!)
It finishes up as a 63″ x 81″ quilt, but you can use the stitcheries for a myriad (cool word, huh?) of other projects (think, bags, cushions, cards, etc), using the quilt-as-you go technique.
When you join in, you get to hang out with us on the 3rd Tuesday of (most!) months for an evening of (funnily enough) nice stitching with nice people. You also get to hang out with Helen (and many other nice peopl!) on her blog, especially set up for this project.
So….on to the nitty gritty:
First Month:
You recieve the box with 52 stitchery patterns and the first 2 transfer packs (yep, no hanging out at the kitchen window for us!), all stitchery backing fabric, and 4 fat quarters.
Months 2 – 9
You recieve 2 transfer packs and 4 fat qtrs each month. You are also invited to stitch with us each month!
Cost:
Month 1: $126.50
Month 2 – 9: $35.00 per month
We will be launching Nice people, Nice things on March 18th, but you will be welcome to join in at any time.
Each pack will be available for collection from the shop on the 3 rd Tuesday of each month(as listed below)
Join us to stitch, chat, laugh and be nice between 7 and 9 pm on the following dates:
March 18th
May 20th
June 17th
July 15th
August 19th
Sept 16th
Oct 21st

Kylie – this is a really good beginner project. It is a quilt-as-you-go, so will come together very quickly. Pop in when your here and I can show you some of the blocks we have done (Ok, will have done, nearly there!!)
Michelle – that will be one of the kits, but we are happy to accomodate your preferred colourways. The best thing about this quilt is everything works!

It was fun visiting this morning (wednesday). I even surprised myself when I resisted temptation to choose (once again dark colours) and chose something nice and light. Liked the dark reds and burgandy’s but just loooved the blues. My Lisa will be soooooo jealous (cos she just loooves blue – her fav colour) Can’t wait to start it. Sooo excited.
Keep smiling and keep up the good work girls. See ya soon!!!!!!

Hope you’re all stitching away and I suppose no gossiping goes on at the nice people, nice things stitching nights!! You can talk about how I’m missing the place now that Sue has given me the tools I require to start a project for the first time in 4 years!! Happy stistching
