Yes, you read it right! Up until today, my ever-patient friend and knitting tutor Claudia, would sit with me and unknit most of my tortured rows. From time to time I would have a moment of smugness, thinking I’d done Ok, only to watch her find many of my mistakes (that I was completely unaware of). But, today, a revelation! It clicked (excuse the pun!) and made sense. And now I’m flying. I get it. It may actually be a blanket someday after all.

That looks way too tricky for me- I’ll stick with my crochet for now- one blanket done and being enjoyed by the most adorable little baby boy and the next one should be done this week sometime.

Oh, I remember the unknitting well, Lisa!!!!!! Many years ago when my dearest and closest friend, your colleague, Claudia, taught me to knit, and she would spend each Sunday, at the football, unpicking my week’s tortured labours. However, she did teach me well as I have gone on to knit some gorgeous stuff, and some very hard and intricate designs, so keep on with the lessons and happy knitting. Love Lesley
