Yep, we’re ready to roll for Term 2, with some very exciting classes lined up.
Our July Quilting Chix will be hosted by Julie Nixon from a Patchy Affair, who will be teaching us Machine Quilting.
On June 25th, the very talented Tracey Browning will be presenting 2 sessions on Quizzles and colour selections ( always a hot topic!). Think we’ll throw some drinks and nibbles into this one!
Claudia will be launching Knitting Chix this Term, so drag out those needles and join the fun. Or if you’d rather Crochet, that’s OK too!
These are just a few highlights – click on the Classes Page to the left for the scoop on all Classes.
You can book on 8821 2700, register on-line in the Comments section, or call in and see us in person!
PS Also have a couple of classes for the next lot of School Holidays.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Merles quilt came back from Julie today….divine! Quilted with Christmas tree’s – how cute is that?!

And this is Coralies 2nd quilt ever – although she is very accomplished in many other stitching endeavours. So, you know, the front looks pretty damn good….

but check out the back! Sooo neat!!

And last, but certainly not least, Leanne brought this in today. Gotta love chenille – it just gives it that extra kick doesn’t it? I Love this.

I was only away for a week, but we have so much new stock, it was like Christmas when I went back to work on Friday! I so needed this sign last week (actually, my hubby thinks I need it all the time!)

And this is very Country Chix…

Can’t go wrong with a cupcake….

And this range of magnets is soooo cute – bling, bags and shoes…what more does a girl need?

And we missed our own Birthday (from the girls who had their Christmas Dinner in January, this probably is not that surprising)….We celebrated 3 years last week, so happy Birthday to us, and thanks for the fax Vanessa!

Some days create special memories, almost by accident. Last week Joe and I met our special friends Karen and Emma for Lunch in the Mall (Rundle Mall, Adelaide, for those not local!) I have so many memories of the Mall growing up – it was where my Grandma always took us in the holidays; where we hung out after school; the location of my first job; and not surprisingly, the location of many a shopping trip since! In fact, it was years before I realised there were Shopping Centres in Adelaide – with a roof and air-conditioning! For those not familiar, it is located in the heart of the CBD in Adelaide, and although it has undergone a few facelifts over the years, has retained it’s character and most of it’s icons along the way.

Our first stop was the pigs – gotta love these guys you can climb all over them, and they stay right there!

You never know who you will meet ( Editors Note – these are not the sporting colours we support!)

The recently polished Mall’s Ball’s – what more can we say? We also visited the re-located and re-painted fountain(No, we didn’t take photo’s. No, I don’t know why). Then we had a joy-ride in the glass elevators at the Renaissance Centre. Twice. But don’t tell Centre Management – this is not permitted apparently.

And finally we had lunch to celebrate a special Birthday.
There was lot’s of walking for little legs, much to look at, and hopefully, some special memories.
Happy 5th Birthday Emma!
