This little cutie is Sue’s class on friday – still spaces available if your interested.
You can book in on 8821 2700.

Give away No. 2 – Quilters

So, not to leave our quilters out, we have a Hugs’n'Kisses “Skinny Mini” pattern to give away as well. All you have to do to go into the draw is register to join our Block of the Month – Nice people, Nice Things – on-line.

So that everyone has a chance, even if you have already registered in the shop, you can register on-line (don’t worry, we will only count you once!), and go into the draw for the pattern.

So, how do you do that? Simply use the “comments” box at the end of this post, or on the Nice people, Nice things page (to your left), and you will automatically be in the draw. Too easy. Winner will be announced at the end of the week.

What a nice way to start our new project – and thanks to Helen, for encouraging our “niceness”!

We’ve started cutting….

…but still have a few more to do!!

Give away No 1 – Scrapbookers

This is HUGE!

We are giving away 1 of every single Kaiser craft paper in the range.

That is over 100 papers!

And what do you need to do to go into the draw to win this fantastic pack? Leave us a comment. Say hello. Drop us a line.

The only catch? For this one, you need to be able to collect the prize from the shop. But hey, that’s not too big an ask is it??

So, stop lurking, leave us a comment, and we will put you in the draw to win. Then stay tuned, we will draw the winner at the end of next week.

Good Luck!!

Giving and Receiving

As lovely as it is to receive presents, I think I like giving them even more. I like to really think about the gift I am giving, and what that person will enjoy. The other thing that really matters is the wrapping – “Never give a gift that’s not beautifully wrapped.” So this week-end, I spent some time making some cards and gift tags to be attached to some pressies for my nieces and nephew.  I hauled out the Sizzix machine, cut some tag shapes out of the new Kaiser papers, and added lots of ribbon and bling (you can never have too much bling!).  I also tied a chipboard initial on next to the tags. But I think my favourite at the moment are the new Amy Butler cards  – all the hard stuff is done for you, they look so good already!

Lady of Leisure

After  a false start last term, my baby started kindy last Wednesday…Yeay!! Possibly, I am more excited than I should be. But, for the first time in almost 9 years, there was no “working mother” guilt. One at school, one at kindy, perfect socially acceptable, no need to justify my plans to anyone ….Freedom!!!!feb-065-rs.jpg

Now, I really need this day – I have tons of work to do on the Celebrant side of life, plenty of sewing projects to do, and my house could certainly do with some TLC.

So what did I do with my new-found freedom? Worked through my list of things to do? Made my house sparkle? Planned the next few months ceremonies?

Well, no.

Spent the day at Country Chix, of course!

Sue and I have been itching to get stuck into the new range of Kaiser craft papers (where to start?!), so we spent the entire day playing, working, and can now unveil 2 of our upcoming class projects.

Yep, that’s my kindy kid – Storyboard class is on Feb 26th.

This is one of Sue’s scrap classes – and that’s her baby, the one that started High School this term! Yikes, those years just slip on by don’t they…. You can join this class on March 28th.

Show and Tell

Margaret called in today to share this quilt top with us. Put’s us to shame….
