Working on it….

We will have new classes sorted by the end of the week….In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek:

Quilting Chix will start again on Feb 5th @ 7pm

Smocking & Embroidery Classes start again on Feb 11th @ 10am

And we are launching the Nice People Nice Things Block of the Month in March. Everybody participating in this will be invited to a free class on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. We will stitch, chat and share nice things with each other!

We are looking forward to another fun crafty term!

Skinny Mini

What better pattern to play with than  a hearts’n'Hugs Skinny Mini – easy and fast, and oh so pretty. Discovered a brilliant tutorial on Anna Maria Horners site for circles – actually quite good fun!

Oh so Pretty

How pretty is this new range from Free Spirit? Itching to make something gorgeous….stay tuned.

Christmas – late or early?!

jan-004.jpg

A pic of me, Sue and Claudia at our “Christmas Show” last night. Yep, December was just too full, so we opted for January. Much easier all round. So we are late or early, depending on which way you look at it!

So while we are on the subject, couldn’t resist making this cute little tree with these yummy new fabrics – not very traditional, but kinda fun!

Classes 2008

We are starting to plan for classes ( Ok, plan may be too generous a phrase….but we are thinking….a little!)

We’d love to hear your wish list – even if it doesn’t happen in first term, it might be slotted in later in the year.

Call into the shop for a chat, or leave us a comment (we know your lurking out there – don’t be shy, come say hello!).

THE Dress

THE Dress and I first crossed paths a few months ago in Melbourne. It’s relatively unassuming, classic, subtle, but with a bit of shimmer .  Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not an earth shattering design. It’s the cut,  and the fabric, and knowing I would wear it for many different occasions. I tried it on. It fit like a glove. BUT. The price tag. I couldn’t do it. Even though I really wanted to.

So, I walked away (I KNOW. I am SO strong.)

A few weeks later I was  shopping with my Husband (obviously, a rare occasion) and couldn’t help it. I had to go visit THE Dress. Because, it obviously was only a dress, and had become so much more in my mind. I needed to get over it.

It was still that perfect. It still had that price tag.

I walked away…slowly….

And then today, I went to visit it at DJ’s. And it was reduced. A lot. I decided to head down the mall to it’s “home” store. You know, just to see.

And there it was in my size. HALF PRICE!!!!!!!

And now it is hanging in my wardrobe, and I feel incredibly content.

Xyron Adhesive Eraser

It works!

If anybody else is having issues with sticky tape marks on the ceiling (I know…happens all the time!), or perhaps even the walls, I recommend Xyron’s Adhesive Eraser. Obviously, would also be handy for Scrapbooking.

See, I have handy house hold hints from time to time.

Cheers,

Lisa
