A lovely bag class this afternoon with a lovely group of ladies from Maitland – Sue, Cheryl, and Helen. Great results too. We always love to see the end result of the different fabric combo’s. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!

Oaks Day

Here I am all frocked up at Flemington on Thursday for Oaks Day. We were cheering on Rough Speed, who came a very respectable 5th, and Serious Speed, who came 2nd. Great run, but couldn’t quite make the distance. But oh so exciting just to be there!
Much celebrating – too much wine, too much food, too little sleep!
Spring carnival in Melbourne is electric, and they certainly know how to turn it on – even the weather was perfect. Frocks and hats galore, and a great tip from the veterans – pop your thongs into your handbag, and the train trip home will be much more comfy!

Another week has flown past me, but finally here are the promised pic’s:
Paula and Debbie are 2 0f the 7Gypsies design team. You think our jobs are good (and, Ok, so do we), these very talented ladies get to fly all over the world teaching clases after they have played crated with all the latest ranges. Not a bad way to make a living, huh?
Anyhow, I am away for the next couple of days . Me and my (borrowed – thanks Liz) hat are off to Oaks Day in Melbourne to cheer on one of my Dad’s horses, Serious Speed. Hoping there is some of that, but there will also be some drinking, eating, and shopping! Stay tuned for results!
