So while Sue is swanning around the Riverland, Claudia and I are here putting out fires…literally! Oh Ok, maybe not, and really, Sue is definitely having a well-earned break, but we really missed her today.
We had a “small” (!) electrical fire in the ceiling, which while causing a great deal of inconvenience, fortunately didn’t do too much damage. Besides spending a lot of the day without electricity – Thank you everybody for your patience – we are counting our blessings that it wasn’t any worse.
So now I am having a couple of days break – I am off to pick up my kids tomorrow, and then spending a couple of days with a girlfriend and her kids. Bliss. My two have had a week in Qld with their Grandpa and Grandma, and we have really missed them. The house may have been unbelievably tidy, but way too quiet, so we are really looking forward to having them home.
