Tea Rooms

sept-0703-001.jpg

This post is for the locals and any potential visitors to the Yorke Peninsula. These Tea rooms are a well kept secret – only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, they are well worth a visit. Enjoy a traditional high tea in either the cosy tea room, or under the verandah. Just follow the Red Teapot signs from out side the Moonta Museum.

Possibly the best scones you will ever taste!

Charm Bracelet’s

sept0708-018.jpg

Just thought we’d share some of the gorgeous creations from our charm bracelet class on Friday.  As always a fun and successful class…great result, Ladies!

New uniform

Still some work to do, but here is Version 1:

Just an apron, you think? So many patterns out there, how hard could it be??

Probably not so tricky if you just used a basic existing pattern, but if you insist on a cross-over top….

Anyhow, thanks to a great machine the ruffles were a snap, and eventually so was the top. We’re happy with it anyway. We have alresy been asked for the pattern and hope to have them kitted up for Paskeville Field Days (yes, we’ll be there – Sept 25th-27th). Maybe even a class next term?? Anyone out there??

So, Sue and I hit the shops today for some plain Tee’s to wear under them…and had a great days shopping, but not many plain tee’s were found, because , of course, this is the Season of Prints!

Oh well….just in case you missed them, here is a close-up of The Best Shoes Ever. Just made for this apron, dontcha think?

Think Pink!

sept-0703-028.jpg

Pink Poppy is here now!

After a couple of hiccups, our new stand is here (and actually standing!), so come and see us for all things pretty and bling-y.

(No such thing as too much bling! Lisa)

Xyron Workshop

Eek…September already…where has the year gone??

Our Xyron workshop is fast approaching – next Monday in fact. We have Nina bringing up lots of cutting and laminating tools to play with, so a good chance to see what is out there and learn some new techniques.

We are running a class from 10am – 12 ($20.00 kit included), or you can pop in between 2.30 & 4.30 for a free demonstration.

If you are interested in joining us for the class, please book on 8821 2700, as places are limited.

Clearance Sale

We are clearing some giftware over the next couple of weeks, so pop in and grab a bargain. Everything with a blue dot on it is 50% off, so well worth a look.

Fran’s First Quilt

A very exciting day today, Fran finished her first wallhanging! It looks better in real life (we have it proudly displayed in-store – that’s right, we didn’t even let her take it home for the week-end!), so pop in and have a look.

It’s a panel from the Art to Heart range and we are waiting for some more to arrive soon. Let us know if you want one put aside.

Quilting Chix is on this Tuesday night Sept 4th, would love to see you there.

Cobweb Necklace

Lots of concentration during Sue’s cobweb necklace class on Friday to produce these unique peices.

This is Jill’s (it’s her neck, but that’s all she would let me photograph!!)

Here are Trudy and Sharon wearing theirs.

And Andrea went the extra mile and whipped up some earrings at the same time.

All pretty impressive, hey?
